![]() Credit unions can participate in the UsNet shared branching network in two ways, as an issuer or as an issuer and acquirer. Issuer Credit Unions allow their members to conduct transactions at participating stand-alone facilities or at cooperating
credit union branches (CU Service Centers). As an issuer, you offer members the convenience and full flexibility of locations beyond your branch(es) where they can conduct financial transactions.
Issuer Program: Steps to become an Issuer Acquirer Credit Unions open one or more of its branches to serve as a CU Service Center, conducting transactions for members of other credit unions. If there are a number of issuers in your area, you may find it beneficial to become an acquirer.
