What are CU Service Centers?
Our credit union is part of a "network" owned and operated by credit
unions. Because our credit union participates in this network, we are
able to provide our members access to their accounts almost anywhere in
the U.S. The credit union branches where members can perform
transactions are called CU Service Centers.
How can I help a member find and use a CU Service Center?
You can direct members to find a CU Service Center by telling them to
look online at www.universalsharing.com or by providing them a location
finder supplied by our credit union. To use a CU Service Center, members
simply walk in, present their account number with a valid photo ID and
make a transaction, just like members do at our credit union. A MSR will
help them with the same person-to-person service they enjoy here!
What about member privacy?
Participating credit unions uphold the same strict standards of
privacy that we do.
Is every credit union branch a CU Service Center?
No. That’s why it’s important for you to provide our members with a
list of participating locations or direct them to the web site where
they can search for locations online.
How does our credit union tell our members about this service?
Our members are notified by our credit union through posters, mailers
and other communications. As a credit union employee, you can play an
important role in helping get the word out that this service is
available. Currently our credit union is running a campaign "Take Your
Credit Union on Vacation" in order to make our members aware of the
service we provide. Please be sure and tell them every chance you get
about the campaign and service.
Why is it important to offer this service to our members?
It’s important that you take the time to educate our members about
this service because it helps us offer greater convenience which also
helps us to retain members.
