Contact: Public Relations Coordinator Saratoga’s Community FCU Signs with UsNet (Albany, NY) – Universal Sharing Network (UsNet) is very pleased to announce that Saratoga’s Community FCU has joined its shared branching network. The credit union, which was chartered in 1945 and serves in excess of 5,000 members, has joined as both an issuer (a credit union that allows its members to perform transactions at CU Service Centers) and an acquirer (a credit union that opens its branches to members from other shared branching participants for financial transactions). As a network member, Saratoga’s Community FCU will operate its headquarters in Saratoga as a CU Service Center. According to Don Denofio, president/CEO of Saratoga’s Community FCU, “Shared branching will enable the members of our credit union to conduct their financial transactions at thousands of credit union branch and Kiosk locations throughout the United States.” Denofio went on to say, “This service has been determined to be a low-cost solution to providing branch locations, and enhance our service delivery strategy without having the expense of brick and mortar. Also, this will provide a level of service to members across the nation that not even the largest of banks can provide.” “We’re pleased to have Saratoga’s Community FCU as part of our shared branching network,” said UsNet’s Chief Operating Officer, Marc Inger. “Shared branching is a cooperative effort, one that goes to the heart of credit unions ideals and their ‘people helping people’ philosophy.” “We are particularly excited about the fact that Saratoga’s Community FCU is the first participant from the Adirondack chapter and hope that this will pave the way for additional network growth.”UsNet (Universal Sharing Network) has provided credit unions with a gateway to the national shared branching network since 1993. They are partnered with the largest network provider, CO-OP Shared Branching, which offers participating credit unions and their members’ access to more than 3,400 CU Service Centers across the United States.
