Contact: Public Relations Coordinator Teachers FCU Receives Hillman Award (August 17 - Albany, NY) – Universal Sharing Network, Inc. (UsNet) has chosen Teachers Federal Credit Union (FCU) to receive their 2007 Ralph W. Hillman Marketing Award. The award recognizes a participating UsNet credit union for best exemplifying the spirit and enthusiasm consistently exhibited by Mr. Hillman in his support and marketing of the shared branching network. "While we received several outstanding applications this year, Teachers just stood out," said Marc Inger, chief operating officer for UsNet. "Throughout the year, Teachers FCU consistently promoted the network to its members via their website, printed materials and newsletters, emphasizing the convenience and accessibility of shared branching." Teachers FCU also won the inaugural Hillman Award in 2004. Hillman served as UsNet’s chairman of the board for nearly two years, 2001–2003, and had been a board member since 1998. During his board tenure, he tirelessly dedicated himself to promoting the network. It was and is that continued dedication and commitment that makes the network successful for credit unions and members alike. UsNet (Universal Sharing Network) is part of a national network of credit unions committed to expanding services to their members through CU Service Centers. Members of participating credit unions can do business from any CU Service Center in New York State and around the U.S. – over 2,700 locations in all, covering 46 states.
