Contact: Public Relations Coordinator UsNet Participants Rewarded – Again! (Albany, NY) – The Universal Sharing Network’s (UsNet) board of directors is happy to announce a reduction in the price of in-network member verification charges. The decrease of in-network charges to issuer credit unions represents nearly an 8% savings and was voted on at UsNet’s December meeting and took effect January 1, 2009. UsNet has continued to experience significant network growth in recent years and wanted participants to share in that success. The board approved the price reduction, the third in the last five years, to enable them to do so. It’s important to note that the reduction will not adversely impact the net revenue earned per member verification by acquirer credit unions. “By taking this positive action,” said Mark Pfisterer, UsNet board chair and CEO of AmeriCU CU, “the board continues to recognize the ever-increasing level of credit union support for shared branching.” “In today’s economic environment, what better way to deliver member convenience at very competitive cost,” Pfisterer went on to say. Currently, 47 credit unions are active network participants. Collectively, they offer 112 UsNet sponsored CU Service Centers in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. UsNet (Universal Sharing Network), has provided credit unions with a gateway to the national shared branching network since 1993. They are partnered with the largest network provider, CO-OP Shared Branching, which offers participating credit unions and their members access to more than 3,500 CU Service Centers across the United States.
